Woman arrested following reported assault in Amesbury

There's now an appeal for witnesses

Police in Amesbury are investigating an assault in the town, with witnesses asked to contact officers.

The incident's alleged to have taken place on Porton Road around 8.40pm on April 30th.

It reportedly followed an argument on the street between a man and a woman.

A woman in her 30s has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

She's been bailed as enquiries continue.

Police have released details now as they're asking any witnesses, or anyone with information to contact them.
