Amesbury Archer Primary joins Magna Learning Partnership
The school's become the latest to become part of the group of academies.
Amesbury Archer officially joined MLP yesterday (Thursday 1st October), following months of discussions.
It becomes the 7th site in the Partnership, which includes three primary schools, three secondaries and a sixth form college in Salisbury and South Wiltshire.
CEO of the Magna Learning Partnership, Sarah Busby has given her reaction to Amesbury Archer joining the fold:
"It's a super school. It's a school that's been on a journey, particularly through the last couple of years. They've been on a massive and very rapid improvement journey. It's a delight to see the children there working so well."
The primary school say they're pleased with being included in the MLP set-up now too.
They've posted on their Facebook page:
The aim of the Magna Learning Partnership is bring schools together and eventually have students that stay within their schools right the way through their education, until they go on to university, apprenticeships or into work.
CEO Sarah Busby says they're happy with the 'balance' they have throughout the group:
"We've got primary schools with strong leaders, who bring much to the multi-academy trust, and we've now got in MLP a balance of secondary and primary, which means we can do more. Our ultimate aim is to provide a better education by working collectively for children in Salisbury and the surrounding area."
