The famous Amesbury Ancestor statue is showing his support for people affected by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The 22 foot tall figure of a man kneeling in Solstice Park is has had a Ukrainian flag draped over his leg.
This week, a cherry picker will be used to put that into his hand, visible from the A303, along with some massive wire sunflowers.
The Ancestor's creator, Michelle Topps, posted on her social media page about why she wanted to adorn him:
"I think everyone has been affected by the War in Ukraine and the resulting humanitarian crisis we are currently witnessing.
"The Ancestor will be holding sunflowers and a flag. A message of support for Ukraine and a welcome to the refugees trying to make their way to our area."
Amesbury's Ancestor is well known for his topical displays over the years - he's worn a face mask during the pandemic, supported England's football team during major tournaments, worn headdresses for Summer Solstice and been to numerous festivals, like Glastonbury, Green Man and V Festival.
