Wiltshire Police are urging us not to risk getting caught speeding after catching almost a thousand vehicles breaking speed limits in March.

They're reminding us to stay safe on the roads as the days are now getting longer, with the message to 'be safe, drive smart and watch your speed'.

Over 2,000 people have now been caught speeding by the force in the first quarter of the year.

January saw 388 people prosecuted for the offence, while February saw 708 people break speed limits in Wiltshire.

941 vehicles were caught speeding last month, with 810 drivers offered Speed Awareness courses.

115 drivers were handed a fine and points on their licence, while 16 motorists are set to appear in court for their offences.
