Last week it was Primark, this week it’s a sculpture that’s arriving in Salisbury’s Old George Mall.

The sculpture, which has been created by Salisbury-based charity Alabaré, celebrates the idea of home and what it means to each person.

It’s been inspired by the Parisian tradition of using a padlock to lock words of love onto the Pont Des Arts bridge.

We’re encouraged to visit the sculpture, which will be installed from Friday (22nd September) and is expected to take seven days.

We can make a donation to the charity, which allows us to padlock a message onto the sculpture, helping secure a brighter future for someone who is vulnerable.

Around 2,000 people are helped into new homes each year by Alabaré. All of those people have been homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

The charity helps each person overcome issues in their lives, including mental or physical health, debt or relationship breakdown and provide safety, support, time and training to allow each individual to rebuild their lives.
