The A354 from the junction with Andrews Way in Salisbury to the Stratford Tony Road junction in Coombe Bissett will be shut overnight for three days.

It will close between 7pm and 6am every day from tonight (Wednesday 9th June) until Saturday (12th June) morning.

This is so Wiltshire can carry out some carriageway resurfacing works as well as ironwork adjustment, road markings and associated maintenance.

The road is shut from Coombe Bissett to Salisbury

Wiltshire Council said:

This Order will come into operation on 09 June 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 12 June 2021. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months."

A closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

For anyone having to travel in the area while it is shut, you should use the following route:

  • A354 (unaffected length) - A338 - A31 - A350 - A354 (unaffected length) and vice versa
