A345 between Amesbury and Salisbury closed following crash

Amesbury Police have closed the A345 following a crash.

The force are advising drivers to avoid the area of High Post Crossroads between Amesbury and Salisbury.

They say the road is likely to remain closed for some time while emergency services attend.

Crews from Salisbury and Wilton were at the scene of the two vehicle crash.

A Spokesperson from DWFRS said:

"One casualty was extracted using cutting equipment and then handed over to the ambulance. "Crews carried out scene safety on the vehicles which were then handed over to the owner and police before leaving the scene."
