One person hurt in A342 Derry Hill crash

A person is being treated for injuries sustained in a car crash near Chippenham this morning.

Two cars collided on the A342 Derry Hill near the Bowood Hotel shortly after 7am on Monday (27/1).

The road was closed for a number of hours but has since reopened.

No arrests were made and the person's injuries aren't thought to be life threatening or life changing.

Great Western Air Ambulance joined Wiltshire Police at the scene, deploying a Helicopter with a Critical Care Doctor and two Specialist Paramedics in Critical Care on board.

In a statement, GWACC said: "They assessed one patient on scene, and one patient was taken to hospital for further treatment after assessment. The patient was taken in a land ambulance.”
