The A338 at Fordingbridge has now been fully reopened to traffic by Hampshire Highways.

It's been shut since Monday (9th January), due to flooding stretching right across the carriageway near Burgate School.

The road's been opened again to HGVs, with cars no longer being diverted through Fordingbridge town centre.

Traffic signals remain in place for the safety of highways workers.

Hampshire Highways have been working to clear the floodwaters over the last few days

Engineers have been on site pumping 'large volumes' of water away since then.

Hampshire Highways say the water levels have dropped.
