Last updated 19th Nov 2020
Latest stats show in the seven days until the 13th of November 575 cases of Covid-19 were recorded.
That's an increase of more than a hundred on the previous week of 476.
Wiltshire Council's Director of Pubic Health, Kate Blackburn says she's worried one particular age group.
"All age groups are being affected and we are still seeing that increase in cases of those aged 60 and over which for us is obviously a concern because we know that illness can be more severe in the older age group."
Wiltshire's rolling rate of infection now stands at 115 per 100,000, the rate across England is 274.3.
Since March 4,231 people have tested positive for Covid-19
SCHOOLS
44 schools in Wiltshire have Covid-19 cases with 2,895 pupils self isolating.
Director of Public Health Wiltshire, Kate Blackburn says cases are being spread outside school settings.
"With the pattern we're seeing, there's very minimal transmission within the schools so whilst a large number of children are affected in terms of having to self isolate, it does break the transmission and the onward spread of the virus and we've seen that contained really well in our schools. It's a testament to the procedures that the schools and local public health team have put in place."
HOSPITAL
Latest NHS figures (10th Nov) show 9 patients with coronavirus are being treated in Salisbury District Hospital whilst Swindon's Great Western Hospital has 36 patients.
The number of patients that have died with Covid-19 at Salisbury District Hospital is 60.
CARE HOMES
In the past seven days 22 care homes in Wiltshire have had positive cases the majority of which have been staff members
TEST AND TRACE
This week Wiltshire Council launched its own version of test and trace.
The service will help support the national NHS one when it is unable to contact someone who has tested positive for Covid-19.
Details will be passed to Wiltshire's public health team who will send a text message to the person followed by phone calls.
