12 year old robbed at knife point in Tidworth

Witness appeal following terrifying incident in broad daylight

Police are appealing for witnesses after a boy was robbed at knife-point in Tidworth.

It happened around 4.30pm on Sunday 11 October, but details have only just been released.

The 12-year-old victim was threatened with a knife near a play park on Pennings Road. He was approached by what's believed to have been a group of youths.

They took his bag containing some money.

Although shaken and upset, the boy was unharmed.

Det Con Caroline Biggs said:

"This was a distressing incident for the boy and luckily he was unhurt."

"I can understand this type of incident will be of concern to the local community and I can assure everyone in the town that we are doing everything to find these suspects."

"The area it happened in is next to a busy road so I believe someone would have seen or heard something - especially as it was still daylight."
