A 12 year old boy was left with a fractured jaw after being assaulted in Salisbury's Queen Elizabeth Gardens.

The attack happened around 5pm last Tuesday (31st August).

Police say the victim was walking through the gardens with a friend when an older boy shouted over to them.

The pair ignored him and carried on walking.

The older boy got ahead of the pair, stopped them and punched the victim in the face, causing him to lose three teeth and fracturing his jaw.

The victim and his friend don’t know the older boy and the attack was unprovoked.

The suspect is described as 14 or 15 years old, white with a skinny build and short, dark hair. He was wearing a grey jumper and a gold chain around his neck.
