£100,000 of damage after car stolen from Salisbury farm and set alight

More than £100,000 worth of damage has been caused after a car was stolen from a farm near Salisbury, and set alight at another farm.

Wiltshire Police say a Land Rover was taken from The Great Durnford Estate overnight on October 10.

The force say the car was driven around south Wiltshire before being set alight in a hay store at Longform Farm, Odstock.

Police say they found the car burnt out at 6:30am on 11 October, with a haystack also set fire to.

An excavator and multiple farm gates were also damaged.

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses to get in touch as they investigate.
