A woman from Peterborough has been jailed, for stalking a man who had helped her with translations.

Kaddy Saidy was banned from visiting his home or place of work, after being given a restraining order on 30th May 2023.

However, she breached the order by visiting both locations, on 12th, 15th and 16th July 2023.

In an interview after being arrested, the 51-year-old, of All Saints Road, claimed she had gone to speak to him about their upcoming "wedding."

She pleaded guilty to stalking and three counts of breaching a restraining order, and has now been sentenced to eight weeks in prison.

PC Jordan Pleyer, from Cambridgeshire Police, said: "No one should live in fear, especially in their own home.

"Stalking can be terrifying and can escalate quickly.

"We would encourage anyone who fears they may be being stalked or harassed to get in touch. We’re here for victims 24/7 and will support them, as well as doing all we can to bring offenders to justice for the greater good."
