Waters appear to be receding across Peterborough Stamford and Rutland.

A small number of flood warnings are in place for the area.

Emergency planners are vowing to continue to monitor the situation.

South Lincolnshire appears to have been worst affected.

Pupils had to be rescued from a school at Edenham near Bourne as flood waters rose.

We've been in the Bourne and Billingborough areas this morning hearing from people impacted.

Tracey from Billingborough told us what happened to her:

"It was beginning to come in the house - we and my son Monty started to put towels down."

"It was too late - it was already in."

"I said we've got to get out of here now."

"It was over the top of my wellies."

"Unfortunately I'm not covered for flooding - that's the most disappointing part."

"Obviously they'll be a lot to replace because of the damage."
