A yellow weather warning for rain is in force across Stamford and Rutland today (14 September).

It is in place until 9pm.

The Met Office has said there is the chance of very heavy rain, with fears the downpours could lead to flooding and disruption.

People are being urged to take extra care if they are out and about on the roads, with forecasters warning bus and train services will "probably" be affected.

There is also a "slight chance" of power cuts.
