We're being warned about a stormy end to the week with a yellow warning for thunderstorms issued for parts of Rutland for Friday and Saturday.

The Met Office says there could be lightning and heavy showers from 10am on Friday morning until 9 the next morning.

The warning covers the northern half of the county, but not Stamford. Most of Lincolnshire is covered by the warning.

What to expect

- Difficult driving conditions and possibly some road closures due to road spray and surface water

- Disruption to public transport where flooding or lightning strikes occur, including cancellations to train and bus services

- There is a small chance of flooding to homes and businesses, with damage to some from floodwater or lightning strikes
