Vote to spend £850k to reopen Deepings Leisure Centre

It's been shut since 2021

A Lincolnshire council will today vote on whether to approve an £850,000 grant to help re-open Deepings Leisure Centre.

The swimming pool in South Kesteven has been closed since 2021 due to health and safety concerns.

Various community groups have since tried to save the Centre.

The meeting is due to take place at 2:30pm today.

According to the Council meeting, it is "To consider a recommendation from the Joint meeting of the Finance & Economic and Culture & Leisure Overview and Scrutiny Committees with regard to a request for one-off funding which has been received from Deepings Community Leisure Centre CIC in the sum of £850,000."
