A man who sexually assaulted a colleague and then exposed himself to her has been jailed.

Kemzi Ogbonna, 39, assaulted the woman he worked with in Huntingdonshire on 15 March 2023.

Cambridgeshire Police say he hugged her from behind, tried to kiss her and said that they should be in a relationship.

The woman resisted and he apologised for his “mistake”.

The following week Ogbonna exposed himself to her, while at work, and asked her to touch him.

These incidents were reported to police later that year after the victim confided in a friend who explained that what he had done was illegal.

Ogbonna, of Dawlish Drive, Stoke-on-Trent, was found guilty of sexual assault and exposure following a trial at Cambridge Crown Court on 8 August this year.

He was sentenced on Friday (19 September) at the same court to 14 months in prison and handed a five-year restraining order.

PC Lomas-Farley said: “Ogbonna knew it was unlikely his victim would report his actions and used this to his advantage. I am pleased she had the support and courage to come forward.

“I hope the sentence will reassure her and women everywhere that this type of behaviour must never be accepted – it should always be challenged and reported.”
