A student from Stamford is preparing to take part in the Paralympics as the games get underway later with the opening ceremony
17 year old Bruce Dee will make his Paralympic debut in the swimming.
He's one of 215 representing Team GB.
We've been speaking to his head coach Andy Sharp.
He told us about the training: "They swim alongside other athletes and they all work hard together - there's no special treatment."
"They still have to attend all of theirs sessions and work at the right intensities and the volumes of work that we do."
There's no additional pressure
"They're just treated as everybody else."
"It's really important they enjoy themselves - experience the paralympic village - experience the venues - the loud crowd that will be cheering all the different athletes."
"It's about enjoying yourself and having fun."
"There's no additional pressure - everyone will have a lane."
"It's a swimming pool at the end of the day - yes it's going to be a bit louder, bit more exciting in terms of the event itself."
"But it's just another swim meet and we don't put pressure on."
