Charity concert for Stamford and Rutland Hospital raises over £1,000
It was staged by Stamford Endowed School pupils and members of the Coldstream Guards band
A charity concert has raised over £1,000 to be used for patient services at Stamford and Rutland Hospital.
It was staged by Stamford Endowed School pupils and 35 members of the band of the Coldstream Guards.
The prestigious event, held on 7 October 2021, was organised by George Wolf who is a regular fundraiser for the hospital. He brought together the school’s musical pupils and the famous British Army band for a fantastic evening of entertainment.
During the concert Stamford Hospital Deputy Sister Sarah Moss was presented with a cheque for £1,078 which will be used to enhance patient services at the hospital, with the aim of making a hospital visit easier for patients.
Sister Moss said:
“I was honoured to attend the concert and it was fantastic to be able to enjoy such fabulous music in our town. On behalf of our patients and staff at Stamford and Rutland Hospital, I would like to thank George Wolf for organising this fundraising event.
"I would also like to thank the pupils and staff of Stamford Endowed Schools who took part and the Band of the Coldstream Guards for supporting us.”
