An Army veteran living in Stamford has made the decision to move to Ukraine to help wounded soldiers and civilians on the frontline.

Ggoing under the pseudonym Jack Bon Holly, he will volunteer as a driver for Project Konstantin, a humanitarian aid coalition.

Speaking about his inspiration to try and help, he said one image really affected him:

"There was a photo of a little girl who had been affected in Ukraine and even now 15 months later, I can't look at it, I can't think about it without breaking down a little bit."

Jack plans to start his journey there next week:

"We have managed to raise from the good people of Stamford to buy a car and on the 5th of June I am going from Stamford, I have a range of skills that I think can make a difference and help people there."
