Lying snow, .ice and freezing temperatures has been causing problems in the Stamford and Rutland areas.

Centre bus wasn't operating on Monday morning whilst Delaine had some delays due to the conditions.

A number of schools were closed to the children of key workers in the region.

Emergency services were called to a collision yesterday in Stamford afternoon following the snow.

It happened on Uffington Road and cutting equipment was used to help those in one of the cars.

Meanwhile the hard work of Rutland's 4x4 response team is being praised by police as they helped out over the snowy weekend.

Many of the volunteers were assisting vehicles that got stuck, or needed pulling up hills.
