Ospreys have returned from migration to roost in Rutland, including the county's favourite bird Maya, who's back for the 14th year in a row.

Check out all the best footage and tweets of her much-anticipated return:

Tim Appleton, from Rutland's renowned Global Birdfair, says it never fails to amaze him every time Rutland's Ospreys return:

'There are literally hazards from the minute they leave the safety of their nest. A lot of young Ospreys die, probably 70% in their first year. So Maya's been going backwards and forwards for years making these amazing journeys.'

'If you actually work out the numbers and miles that she's done, it's in the tens of thousands. She hasn't been shot, trapped in nets; she's found a really safe place. It's good to see her back again.'

'During the next 6 months there could be 35,000 people come down to see those Ospreys, be inspired when they see them diving in the water, coming out with a struggling trout and then taking it off to the nest.'
