A business networking event is being held with a talk from the CEO of a wildlife trust.

The Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust is hosting the event at the volunteer centre on Rutland Water on Wednesday, July 17 from 10am until 2pm.

Organised by the wildlife trust in conjunction with Rutland Chamber of Commerce, the highlight of the event will be a talk from Mat Carter, CEO of Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust.

Mr Carter, who will be speaking about how to get involved with wildlife conservation projects in Rutland, said: “I have always had a passion for wildlife, for me getting outdoors and enjoying our wildlife and wild places is one of my favourite things.

“Engaging with people through Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust, working with a range of environmental organisations including the Environment Agency, Natural England, the National Trust and the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, these are matters we should all know of and be aware of.”

Rutland Chamber of Commerce host events like this all year round to enable local businesses an opportunity to network, learn and at the same time be inspired by one of the UK’s most beautiful natural settings.

The event will be held at Rutland Water, Volunteer Training Centre, Oakham Road Rutland LE15 8TL.
