There's a call for people in Rutland to 'remember the importance of ventilation' this week.

Lockdown restrictions eased again yesterday, with the relaxation meaning that most people across the UK can see each other indoors again.

Mike Sandys is the county's Director of Public Health.

He has this advice for people planning to meet in a group indoors:

"Getting those windows open and letting some air in is one of the more critical things you can do.

"I want this unlocking to stick, unlike the position we were in last year from September onwards.

"Therefore, we don't need to be overly cautious, but I hope people stick to rules so that we can keep re-opening different sectors.

"I'm really pleased with the way things have gone in Rutland.

"People haven't really bent the rules here, so my message to residents is to carry on being cautious but happy at the same time."
