Rutland Concert Band to perform in Oakham as part of Remembrance events

They will be performing a programme of 'Music for Remembrance' in All Saints' Church

Rutland Concert Band will be performing this evening (13 November) as part of the area's Remembrance events.

From 7.30pm, they will be performing a programme of 'Music for Remembrance' in All Saints' Church in Oakham.

Tickets cost ÂŁ5 and can be bought on the door or via rutlandconcertband@gmail.com .

All proceeds will be donated to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

Meanwhile, a special civic Remembrance parade will set off from Oakham Castle at 2pm tomorrow (14 November).

A service of Remembrance will be held from 2.30pm at All Saints Church.

This will be followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the war memorial on Church Street.

The parade will then reform and return along the High Street, where the Lord-Lieutenant of Rutland Dr Sarah Furness will take the salute.
