Man arrested after woman hit by horse in Whissendine

Police say an investigation is ongoing

A man from Rutland's been arrested this morning after a horse "collided" with a woman in Whissendine, Leicestershire Police have confirmed.

It's after police received a report of an incident that happened in a field in Station Road, shortly after 1:45pm on Saturday 11th February.

The 34-year-old was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, and remains in custody at this time.

The woman did not suffer any serious injuries during the incident.

Detective Inspector Charles Edwards said: “Our investigation into this incident is continuing. We are aware of footage posted online and would urge caution about sharing such content while enquiries are ongoing.”
