Road Closures ahead of Stamford Mid-Lent Fair

Road and park closures begin in Stamford today as preparations get underway for the Mid-Lent fair.

The first area to close will be the top area of the Cattle market car park at 5pm this evening, Friday 8th of March.

Tomorrow at 5pm Bath Row and Gooches Court car parks, Castle Dyke and Red Lion Square will close and then on Sunday Castle Street and Sheep market will close at 6am before Broad Street, Red Lion Street, Crown Street, Star Lane and Newgate Lane at midday.

The fair has been visiting the town for over 500 years and will be open for people to enjoy from Monday 11th March till Saturday 16th March 2024.
