Rise in demand at Rutland Foodbank

More people came to the Foodbank during the pandemic

More than 840 people have been fed by the Rutland foodbank since April.

They're now packing a weeks worth of food at a time, meaning that 2 thousand 4 hundred and 50 days worth has been given to people locally who are struggling.

However, the Trussell Trust are expecting demand to rise even further- suggesting a 61 percent increase in food parcels needed between October and December.

Ali Wainright from the foodbank says they've made changes to meet the demand:
