Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance was called out to a record number of incidents this summer.

July was the busiest month on record for the charity as the crew was sent out to 179 calls.

In 2020 they went to 110.

That's a more than 60% increase.

Senior Operations Manager Chris Bailey said he's not surprised by the figures.

"With staycations and all the things to do with covid we expected this to happen.

"We put on a second helicopter for the three months of June, July and August."
