One year on from the death of Queen Elizabeth II, people across Peterborough, Stamford and Rutland are paying tribute to the late Queen.

We spoke with Rutland's Lord-Lieutenant, Dr Sarah Furness, who says the death touched so many people across our region:

"Her death bought home to us all, how important having a non-political constant head of state was.

"I think we still miss her.

"When her majesty died, people came up to me and talked about how much it felt like a personal bereavement - I got emails and letters.

"I think Charles has done a fabulous job, and taken on her role.

"We owe him alot and he is a wonderful King."

The King’s going to mark the first anniversary of his mother’s death with private prayers in the church near the Balmoral Estate where she spent her final days.

Meanwhile in London, a 41-gun salute will be fired in Hyde Park to commemorate one year since Elizabeth the Second died at the age of 96.
