British Transport Police tell us they're carrying out routine patrols at Oakham Railway Station to tackle drugs and alcohol misuse among young people.

Officers want to reassure those who may be affected by anti social behaviour.

Leicestershire Police said: "Local officers have been working alongside British Transport Police carrying out routine patrols at Oakham Railway Station to tackle drugs and alcohol misuse among young people."

"The aim of the patrols is to reassure those who may be affected by anti-social behaviour (ASB) that we do take their concerns seriously.

"We want people who live, work or visit the area to enjoy their time without being subjected or witnessing ASB.

"If anyone has any concerns about ASB they are asked to report it via 101 or www.leics.police.uk"
