Police have denied reports online that two people died at a music festival over the weekend, at Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire.

A number of videos circulated, appearing to show a man being restrained by security at Forbidden Forest Festival.

An online petition was set up, calling for "justice."

Both festival organisers and police have confirmed to Greatest Hits Radio, no deaths have been reported, but officers now say they are reviewing the footage.

In a previous statement on Tuesday afternoon, police said they received a report of a man at the festival suspected of committing a drugs offence, who reportedly became aggressive as security guards attended to him.

A member of staff was allegedly assaulted.

In an update on Tuesday evening, Leicestershire Police added: "From initial enquiries carried out it has now been established that the incident captured and posted online does not relate to the arrest and charge of a man for drug offences.

"Officers will now be reviewing the online footage and as part of enquiries will be working with the event organisers and local partners to establish the full details.

"To assist with this, police are asking anyone with information or footage that could be helpful to make contact."
