Peterborough United will have to overturn a deficit if they are to avoid play-off heartbreak for a second season on the bounce.

Oxford's captain Elliot Moore scored the only goal, with Oxford taking a slender advantage to the Weston Homes Park Stadium on Wednesday 8th May.

The Posh held a 4-0 lead at this stage of the play-offs last season, before opponents Sheffield Wednesday produced one of the great footballing comebacks, winning on penalties after a 5-1 second leg win.

Darren Ferguson's side will need to produce their own comeback if they are to make it into the League One play-off final.

The Posh would face either Barnsley or Bolton, who play the second-leg of their semi-final on Tuesday.

Bolton hold a 3-1 lead heading into the fixture.
