Peterborough United kick off their first game of the new season today.

After their recent play-off heartache, Posh will play their League 1 opener away to newcomers Reading, following their relegation from the Championship.

Here's what Posh fans have been saying when we asked them what they're hoping for from the new campaign:

"We've got a decent chance this year. I'm expecting anywhere between fourth to eighth place."

"It could a tough season for Posh, we've lost some key names in Jack Taylor and Joe Ward."

"My prediction for the coming season is some surprising results, and playing with a new fluidity."

"The club is going to focus on lowering the average age of the squad and put an emphasis on youth."

"Top scorer? If Clarke-Harris stays, you'd have to say him."

A new challenge for the Dannies

Over in Lincolnshire, Stamford AFC kick off their new season following their title win last campaign.

The Dannies host Kettering Town at 3pm in their Southern League Premier Central opening fixture.

Manager Graham Drury tells us his players will rise to the test:

'We're going to be competing against some real big clubs with some really good players. But we'll face it head on, believing we can win every game, and we'll see how far that takes us.

'The club obviously want to stay in the league, because it'll be the first time the club have been promoted and then remained in the division. My expectations are a bit bigger than that.'

Kettering have been there, done it, relegated last season. They're second favourites. It couldn't be any tougher to start, but we're looking forward to it.'
