Will Blackmore has signed a new three-year contract with Peterborough United

The 21 year old joined the club in 2017.

He made his debut for the League One club as a substitute in a 4-1 win at Doncaster Rovers in May 2021.

He's made a total of 5 appearances with the club, including three successive league starts last term.

Blackmore said: "It is another big moment for me in my young career so far.

"It was great to be involved in the first team last season, make my debut and be given the opportunity to play a few games and this season is about building on that.

“I know that there is a chance for me to show what I can do, and it is up to me now to take that opportunity, train well during pre-season and hopefully put in some good performances in the pre-season games.

Manager Darren Ferguson added: “I am delighted that Will has agreed this new contract.

"I believe he has a lot of potential; he has a bright future ahead of him and he will definitely be challenging for the number one spot this season.

"I know that Will was pleased to agree the deal and he will play a big part in the squad for the forthcoming campaign and the seasons to come after that.”
