A Ride of Remembrance for Grace O'Malley-Kumar, who tragically lost her life in the Nottingham Attacks, will pause at Peterborough where more drivers will join thousands of others expected to take part.

The Grace O'Malley-Kumar Memorial Charity Motorbike and Car Ride, created to pay tribute to Grace, will begin on Sunday 19th May at North Weald Airfield in Essex.

The charity ride aims to raise funds for the Grace O'Malley-Kumar Foundation, set up in Grace's name.

Grace, who had a special connection to motorbikes and her beloved Vespa, was a medical student at the University of Nottingham when she sadly lost her life in June last year.

Valdo Calocane was given an indefinite hospital order for the manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility of Grace O'Malley-Kumar, Barnaby Webber and Ian Coates, and the attempted murder of three others.

The charity ride will set off at 11am from the starting location in Essex and conclude at 2pm at Newark Showground, where Grace's family will be based to welcome everyone taking part.

The riders will make a planned stop at Peterborough Services at junction A1 (M) at 1pm to welcome on board other riders, before continuing along the A1 towards Newark.

Gates at North Weald Airfield will open at 8am, so riders, drivers and pedestrians can gather to enjoy refreshments.

There will be stalls, food and drink venues and a stage with a DJ to welcome the riders at Newark Showground - where a team from Nottinghamshire Blood Bikes will be unveiling a new motorbike in Grace's name.
