A Peterborough man's been jailed after police discovered more than 100 of the most serious form of child sex abuse images on his phone.
The Category A images were found on Zak Reeve's phone in February, whilst police were questioning him on suspicion of arson.
Hundreds of other images were discovered when officers downloaded that phone, as well as images from a laptop and a second phone found during a search of Reeve's home.
No further action was taken against him in relation to the arson arrest.
Reeve, 21, of Eagle Way, Hampton Centre, Peterborough, pleaded guilty to two counts of making indecent images and distributing indecent photographs.
He was sentenced to one year and ten months in prison at Peterborough Crown Court on Thursday.
Reeve was also handed a sexual harm prevention order for ten years.
Detective Constable Zip Lloyd, of Cambridgeshire Constabulary, said:
"I’m glad we were alerted to Reeve’s offending and we’ve been able to secure justice today.
"Our specialist officers work tirelessly to monitor sex offenders and make sure they stick to the conditions of their orders. The orders aim to keep victims and vulnerable people safe, and we won’t hesitate to put offenders before the courts if breaches are found."
