Peterborough dealer jailed for running “sophisticated” county lines operation
During the search, officers found more than £17,000 in cash and two mobile phones
A drug dealer who ran a “sophisticated criminal enterprise” supplying Class A drugs across Cambridgeshire has been jailed.
Mohammed Ahmed, 27, of Peterborough, was arrested after police raided his home on 17 July following intelligence that he was running two county lines known as K Line 1 and K Line 2.
During the search, officers found more than £17,000 in cash and two mobile phones, one in Ahmed’s pocket and another hidden outside the property.
Analysis of the phones linked him to the running of both drug lines.
At Cambridge Crown Court on Friday (31 October), Ahmed was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
Detective Constable Jenny Hargreaves said: “Ahmed was running a sophisticated criminal enterprise supplying drugs across the county.
"Dealers like him often target vulnerable people and manage drugs lines for the sole purpose of financial gain.
"County lines bring misery to our communities in the form of drug dealing, exploitation and violence and will not be tolerated.”
