Peterborough cathedral welcomes everyone over Easter

Churches in our region say their doors are open to everyone over the Easter weekend.
Peterborough Cathedral is hosting an Easter egg hunt in its grounds on Easter Monday.
It's just one of the ways its trying to diversify and adapt to appeal to younger worshippers.
Although congregations have dwindled in recent decades, the cathedral has seen numbers increase post-pandemic.
The Dean Chris Dalliston told us the church still has an important role to play:
"We're also trying to find new ways to connect with people and there are all sorts of events and activities that happen- exhibitions, concerts.
We are looking really seriously now at how we make those connections with schools, and family and church. I think we just need to constantly realise that the old ways need to be reinvented.
I think people have still got a great need for meaning and purpose in their lives, not least at the moment where the world looks so crazy. And the church can provide that."
