Optimism Lincolnshire devolution deal will eventually become reality despite setback.
The Government have decided not to take the proposals further at this stage.
There's optimism a devolution deal for the whole of the greater Lincolnshire region can become reality despite the Government not giving proposals the go ahead at the moment.
The scheme would have seen greater powers and more funding granted to the whole region from Stamford to the Humber with a possible reduction in the number of local councils.
But ministers don't want to proceed with the plans at this stage.
Deputy Leader of Lincolnshire County Council Patricia Bradwell says they're not surprised they haven't been given the go ahead yet.
