Oakham pub garden death "not being treated as suspicious"

Emergency services were called to Melton Road on Sunday morning

Police say the death of a man in a pub garden in Oakham at the weekend is not being treated as suspicious.

Officers were called to Jinky's on Melton Road yesterday morning (10/3).

Ambulance crews pronounce him dead at the scene.

Leicestershire Police have released the following statement:

"A file is being prepared for HM Coroner after the death of a man in Oakham at the weekend."

"Officers were called to Melton Road around 8.45am yesterday (Sunday 10 March) after a man was found in the garden of a premises.

"The ambulance service also attended and sadly he was pronounced deceased at the scene

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and identification of the deceased will be a matter for HM Coroner."
