New Rutland county councillor announced after by-election

The results of yesterday's (4 November) by-election in Rutland have been announced.

Leah Toseland, of the Labour Party, has been elected for Oakham North West Ward.

She received 293 votes and will serve as a Rutland county councillor until the next round of council elections in 2023.

Daniel Bottomley, of The Conservative Party, received 175 votes.
