Nene Valley Rock Festival back for second year

Nene Valley Rock Festival is back for its second year - this time being held in the Grimsthorpe Castle grounds near Bourne,
The four day event hosts artists and bands that play classic, blues, and progressive rock
Tony Castle is one of the Directors and tells us more:
"We ran it for the first time last year, down in Peterborough, and this year we've moved up to Grimsthorpe Castle near Bourne.
"What we hope to provide is an amazing festival experience for people who like classic rock, progressive rock, and blue rock."
He tells us how they came to decide on a new location:
"We probably looked at 30 to 40 different venues before we chose Grimsthorpe Castle.
"The location is amazing; huge open areas which are just perfect for us. And it's reasonable isolated."
Tony also tells us how it all started:
"We do it for the love of it. Myself and my two co-directors, Andrew and Trevor, we're all seasoned festival-goers.
"We've all worked for other festivals in the past, but we all saw things we thought we could do better," he says.
The Nene Valley Rock Festival runs from 5 to 8 September.
