Over 100 Easter Eggs have been donated to a Stamford Garage
It's to help those who are less fortunate this Easter
Over 100 Easter Eggs have been donated to a Stamford Garage to give those less fortunate a treat.
Customers of Project One were asked if they wanted to bring in a chocolate egg when they came to pick up their car.
They've now given the donated eggs to the Second Helpings charity who have distributed them to people this week.
107 eggs were donated in total
Kayleigh Flynn has been helping out at the garage and says they've been blown away by people's goodwill.
"We're absolutely delighted. People were going away coming back in and giving us eggs, people that we've never met before. They've heard about it and are just really keen to help people in Stamford"
"We decided amongst ourselves that we wanted to help a little bit with people that haven't been as fortunate and ask customers to bring in Easter eggs when they were collecting their vehicles. So we managed to get a bit of a collection together - ran it for a month and really really happy with how generous people have been"
She continues: "It's good to give back to our local community and a lot of people think exactly the same which was really really nice for us. It was great to drop them off at Second Helpings - hopefully it will make a bit of a difference - and if it makes a couple of people smile then we're really happy"
