The letter is urging the Prime Minister to extend the scheme to every pupil in England
Nik Johnson the Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough has written an open letter to the Prime Minister, urging him to fund free school meals for every primary school pupil in England.
Scotland and Wales - as well as London - have extended free school meal schemes to all primary-age children.
The letter, organised by the National Education Union, says child hunger has become an epidemic.
