Man jailed for thefts and not attending court

A man has been jailed in Peterborough after he stole from shops and repeatedly failed to turn up at court.

42 year old David Campbell, stole over £150 worth of pet grooming products from Pets at Home in July.

Campbell of no fixed address had been found to have failed to attend court on three previous occasions.

He was sentenced to eight weeks in prison after admitting seven counts of theft from a shop and being in possession of cannabis.
