Motorcyclist dies after crash in Stamford

A 26-year-old man has died in a crash in Stamford.

It happened at around midday - and has led to road closures in the town centre this afternoon.

Lincolnshire Police say the man was riding a white Suzuki motorbike which collided with a silver Skoda Yeti at the junction of New Cross Road and Cliff Road.

The man died at the scene - his family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage.
