Illegal immigrant arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs in Rutland

Police say he is now with immigration services

A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A controlled drugs in Rutland.

Drugs, cash, as well as the vehicle being driven were seized.

He was arrested in Uppingham Road, Egleton, in the early hours of Monday (20th May).

Police say during the investigation it was discovered the man illegally in the UK, with immigration services now being bought it.

Rutland and Melton officers worked together to make the arrest.

Officers are encouraging anyone who sees anything suspicious to report it.
